GSIQ Australia & New Zealand grows again with key senior hire: Georgie Liddle
PRESS RELEASE · MELBOURNE (October 8, 2025)
GSIQ Australia and New Zealand has hired United Rugby Championship’s Senior Strategy and Insight Manager, Georgie Liddle, to become its new Client Services Director.
As well as almost a decade of commercial experience including a stint as Insight Partner at Formula E, Georgie also brings with her significant academic expertise – she holds a masters post graduate degree in Social Research Methods.
Ted Harwood, Managing Partner for GSIQ Australia and New Zealand, predicts that clients will quickly benefit from the hire.
“A key part of the GSIQ promise to clients is a personalised level of servicing that many have seen decline across the industry in the past few years. Hiring good people – and Georgie definitely qualifies as that – allows us to grow while keeping that commitment to the brands and rightsholders we work with.
“We hired Georgie because we wanted someone to be able to hit the ground running and she’s done just that. Because she’s worked with organisations like Formula E and United Rugby, she understands exactly what rightsholders are looking for in an agency. We’re delighted to have her on board.”
Georgie, meanwhile, says that it was the company’s recent growth that attracted her to the role.
“I’ve always been passionate about growing sports through developing strategies based on data and insights, and if you work in the sports industry, it’s been hard to ignore GSIQ’s growing profile. It’s not been long since I joined but I can already tell there’s a buzz internally about how much we can get done, particularly with the tech we’re developing. It felt like a great opportunity to join a company that has so much potential.”
GSIQ won the Tech Breakthrough Award at last week’s Leaders in Sport Awards for two of its products.
SIQ Live is a new tool which allows real-time tracking of brand exposure during sports events, meaning that brands and rightsholders can evaluate the impact of sponsorships as competitions take place. That means that sponsorships can be optimised mid-event and also eliminates the traditional post-event wait for reporting.
Crystal is a pioneering audience estimation tool for both rated and unrated television markets, allowing users to consistently and robustly assess audience size for sports events where no ratings are provided.
