SIQ Live and Crystal win Breakthrough Tech prize at Leaders in Sport Awards

GSIQ picked up the Tech Breakthrough Award at this week’s Leaders in Sport event in London.

The award, which recognises the most ground-breaking and impactful technological breakthrough delivered by smaller or younger organisations, was given to the company in recognition of its new products SIQ Live and Crystal.

SIQ Live is a new tool which allows real-time tracking of brand exposure during sports events, meaning that brands and rightsholders can evaluate the impact of sponsorships as competitions take place. That means that sponsorships can be optimised mid-event and also eliminates the traditional post-event wait for reporting.

Crystal is a pioneering audience estimation tool for both rated and unrated television markets, allowing users to consistently and robustly assess audience size for sports events where no ratings are provided.

Charlies Dundas, GSIQ founder, believes the award is vote of faith in the company’s strategy.

“These tools epitomise what we are trying to do at GSIQ – technological innovation backed by client servicing from people you can rely on. We’re trying to address the issues that we know many brands and rightsholders have had to put up with for years – late reports, incomplete data, technical stagnation. Although we always had confidence in our ideas, we never expected to be recognised like this quite so soon. I think it shows that our peers, who judged the awards, see the same issues and recognise that we’re trying to do better.

The Leaders in Sport Tech Breakthrough gong is the second award which GSIQ has won in 2025, following on from the Best Newcomer Award at the Sport Industry Awards earlier in the year.
